In Brazil, over 62 million hectares of forest were lost over two decades and 9.3 million people live below the extreme poverty line, Eden Reforestation Projects are actively restoring 30,000 hectares of critical ecosystems across three states—Goiás, Maranhão, and Piauí. Focused on the Amazon, Cerrado, and coastal mangroves, their work supports biodiversity, mitigates climate change, and provides financial opportunities for local communities, including indigenous and Quilombola groups, through direct employment and training initiatives like the Hands in the Dirt Training Center.
